on a whim

Beginning this blog purely on a whim.  So we saw this amazing tree at San Juan Capistrano Mission in southern California.  No idea what it was -- until we saw it again at the Dallas World Aquarium, where the tree was labeled.  Investigated this ugly beautiful tree and found a well documented site.  I wanted to leave a comment for the blog author thanking them for the wonderful pictures and info and for the first time in my life I choose not to be anonymous, and in the process created my own blogspot account.  So here are pictures of "our" tree and a link http://tree-species.blogspot.com/2008/05/silk-floss-ceiba-speciosa.html
